If you or your child is having a medical or psychiatric emergency, please go to your nearest emergency department or call 911.
Please contact my office at 802-491-3220 to inform me of the emergency after you/your child are safe.
If you or your child are experiencing mental health related distress (thoughts of suicide, mental health or substance use crisis, or any other kind of emotional distress, you can access 24/7 care and support by contacting the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by dialing 988.
Please note that my solo practice does not provide crisis, same-day, weekend, or emergency visit services. Some patients develop psychiatric conditions that necessitate access to providers 24/7, require a more frequent urgent psychiatric care pattern due to the acuity of the situation, and cannot be adequately served in my solo practice limited appointment set-up. If your child is demonstrating signs of needing a higher level of care, I will work hard to gradually refer you to an excellent, broader, and larger practice service provider with staffing resources beyond my solo setup. In such situations, it is imperative you have the clinically appropriate practice with more urgent provider access services to address your child’s well-deserved and specific needs.
