CANCELLATION/MISSED APPOINTMENT POLICY
The time for your/your child’s appointments is reserved specifically for you/your child. If you cannot attend your appointment, PLEASE NOTIFY THE OFFICE AT LEAST 2 BUSINESS DAYS IN ADVANCE so we may make this appointment time available to another patient who requires services.
Please note that no-shows and appointments canceled with less than 2 business days notice will be automatically charged at your full, regular session rate to the credit card on file at the time of the missed scheduled appointment.
Two business days (M-F) advance notice means, for example, that appointments on a Monday should be canceled by the previous Thursday. This 2 business days policy is a longstanding and common practice among many mental health professionals.
It is important to remember that regular follow-up visits, particularly for medication monitoring, are necessary to provide safe and effective healthcare.
Sometimes things just happen!
In truly unforeseen circumstances, patients will be given a one-time courtesy for late cancellations due to situations such as illness or other such unforeseen situations that are simply beyond your control.
